Andrea Newill is an experienced, professional garden designer based between Newbury and Reading in Berkshire, offering a creative, practical garden design service to suit your needs and budget.
I’ve been designing gardens in Berkshire and the south of England for the last twenty years. I retrained as a garden designer as a second career and love what I now do. It’s a privilege to have worked with so many clients transforming their gardens.
As well as a wealth of experience, I’m a registered member of the Society of Garden Designers, which means that my work has been rigorously assessed by a panel of experts and judged to be of the highest standard. Whether you want to redesign your entire garden, or simply create a beautiful new planting scheme, I can help.
My skills include excellent horticultural and plant knowledge, as well as the technical foundation to know how a garden should be built, together with the spatial awareness and creativity needed to transform and bring a site together, whether a large country garden or a small urban courtyard.
The gardens I design are always client focused, interpreting my client’s ideas to create a garden that also complements the style of the house and sits comfortably within the surrounding landscape. Always focusing on practicalities like budget and build quality my aim is to ensure that investing in a new garden always meets and surpasses expectations.
Some comments from my lovely clients perhaps sum up how transforming a professionally designed garden can be:
We will always be grateful that we were fortunate enough to have Andrea’s design our garden and would go so far as to say that the garden we now have has been genuinely both home enhancing and life changing.
Andrea produced us a beautiful design, found us quotes for work and materials and project managed the build from start through to planting. Andrea was so professional to deal with and listened carefully to what we wanted from the garden before coming up with the design.
Andrea also took time to understand what we wanted from our garden, and how we planned to use it, and incorporate our personal tastes into the design, rather than just her own preferences.
