Garden with Views

Hermitage, Berkshire

2022 APL Awards (Association of Professional Landscapers) Supreme Winner and Best in Category £100-£175k

This challenging but exciting project transformed three disjointed garden areas, from when the property was three separate residences. Existing dividing walls and parking areas were removed to open up the space to the stunning countryside views.
A generous limestone effect porcelain terrace with room for dining, lounging, barbecuing and for a hot tub was designed, with black brick pavers contrasted with the cream paving and complementing the black painted timber cladding of the house.
A shady woodland garden enveloped the new games room and gym complex with a subtle water bowl water feature and a composite charred oak effect deck perfect for chilling.
A sunken seating area included a firepit and was positioned to make the most of views.
Planting was naturalistic with plenty of grasses for texture and movement with clipped Yew and lollipop trees for structure.
Subtle lighting was provided to extend the garden’s use.
